Hazelnuts

Our organic hazelnut oil is a high-quality edible oil obtained from mildly roasted nuts by cold pressing. It has a yellow color and a mild, sweet and nutty taste reminiscent of nougat. Due to its sweet taste, it is not only suitable for preparing salads but also for refining desserts and ice cream. Hazelnut oil is characterized by its high content of the unsaturated fatty acid "oleic acid" and is therefore also suitable for frying and steaming.

Origin

Hazelnuts (Córylus) are a genus of woody shrubs and trees in the birch family (Betulaceae). The nuts of some species are used as a high-fat food - hazelnut kernels contain up to 65% vegetable oil.

The hazel bush is a wild tree that is widespread in Europe, Asia and North America and is mainly cultivated in Turkey and Italy. The fruits of the hazel bush are usually harvested by squirrels in this country. We therefore source the hazelnuts for oil production from Turkey (Black Sea coast) from organically managed and certified plantations. The hazelnuts used for our mildly roasted hazelnut oil come from controlled organic cultivation in accordance with BIO VO 834/2007 and VO 889/2008 or 1235/2008.

Usage

Due to its mild, sweet and nutty taste, mildly roasted hazelnut oil is suitable for dressing raw vegetable and fruit salads, starters, muesli, sweet desserts, wholefood dishes and dressings. Due to its fatty acid spectrum, hazelnut oil is also suitable for warm and hot cooking, for example for baking and frying pancakes, crêpes, waffles or cookies.

Für leichtes anbraten prädestiniert wegen der dem Olivenöl ähnlichen Zusammensetzung (einfach ungesättigte FS in der Hauptsache . Als Abwechlung zu Olivenöl ein Highlight. ( Nicht für Spaghetti aglio et olio, dafür umsomehr für z.B. Pfannkuchen). Das Haselnussaroma dürfte kräftiger sein, weil geröstet. Das wiederum... mehr >>
spricht für die leichte Röstung.

Sehr lecker. Mache es über mein doc Fleck Frühstück. Mehr rezeptieren fallen mir damit nicht ein. Nachtisch gibt es bei uns kaum. Macht dich nochmal eine Rezeptidee auf eure Website (-; aber bitte nichts im Ofen (das Öl ist ja schon geröstet !)

Das Haselnussöl ist überaus köstlich, schmeckt pur oder in verschiedenen Gerichten.
