Evening primrose skin care oil

Our organic evening primrose oil is a care product for very dry skin. It is one of the few plant oils that contain a combination of essential linoleic acid and gamma-linolenic acid (approx. 10 g per 100 g). It protects and cares for sensitive skin areas and regulates the skin's moisture balance. It is also used for flaky and irritated skin.

Regenerating facial care with evening primrose oil

Evening primrose oil impresses with its linoleic and gamma-linolenic acid content. It is free from fragrances and essential oils and also helps dry and flaky skin to retain moisture for a long time. Evening primrose oil is considered to be well tolerated and protective for sensitive facial skin.

Evening primrose as the basis for our oil

The evening primrose flowers from June to October, grows up to one meter high and sprouts an angular stem. The yellow flowers form a racemose inflorescence. Each individual flower blooms for just one day and is then replaced by a new flower. This shows how quickly the evening primrose develops and how strong the plant's vigor is. The fruits of the evening primrose have an elongated shape. The roundish seeds of the plant are located inside the approximately three-centimeter-long fruit. Our valuable skin care oil is gently extracted from the seeds of organically grown evening primrose.

Mix & Match

Daily skin care can of course be adapted to your own needs. Our evening primrose oil can be combined with other skincare oils and skin balms and is also suitable for enriching creams and lotions. Just give it a try: Just a few drops in your day cream provide more skin elasticity and moisture.

Our recipe for a regenerating face mask

• 2 tsp evening primrose oil
• 1 teaspoon of honey
• ¼ ripe avocado

Mash the avocado with a fork, mix with the remaining ingredients and apply to cleansed face. Leave on for at least 15 minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water.

Peeling for the face

Peelings help the skin to regenerate and cleanse the pores. With our evening primrose oil, you can easily make your own scrubs for the face and décolleté: Mix sea salt, coconut blossom sugar, almond bran or coffee grounds, depending on the desired grain size, with the oil, sweep over the skin in circular motions and rinse off with lukewarm water. This gently removes dead cells and revitalizes and nourishes the skin at the same time.
