Jojoba

Organic jojoba oil from Solling Naturkosmetik has a moisturizing effect and also protects mature skin from drying out. With its waxy, light texture, it forms a delicate, non-sealing lipid film with the skin's natural sebum, which binds the skin's moisture so that it remains breathable. It is quickly absorbed and provides long-lasting moisture without being greasy or sticky. The oil is extracted from the seeds of the jojoba shrub.

The shrub: jojoba

Jojoba grows as an evergreen shrub and can thrive in very dry locations. There are male and female shrubs. The flowers of the female jojoba bushes produce fruit. They are green at first and later turn brown and wrinkled. The fruits resemble large, green olives. When the capsules burst open, they release the seeds. Jojoba wax - also known as jojoba oil - is extracted from the seed capsule and is liquid at room temperature.

Exfoliating scrubs help the skin to regenerate and cleanse the pores. With our jojoba oil, you can make your own scrubs in no time at all: Mix sea salt, coconut blossom sugar, almond bran or coffee grounds, depending on the desired grain size, with the oil, sweep over the skin in circular motions and rinse off with lukewarm water. This gently removes dead cells and revitalizes and nourishes the skin at the same time. Body scrubs are best used in the shower.
