Our Cocolino is a spread with around 15 g per 100 g of omega-3 fatty acids (alpha-linolenic acid). The fresh, cold-pressed organic linseed oil in this blend with virgin organic coconut oil has a long shelf life in the refrigerator. The linseed oil contained is protected from oxidation by the solid, virgin coconut fat and therefore does not become bitter as quickly as the pure, cold-pressed organic linseed oil. The addition of sea buckthorn pulp oil refines the taste and enhances the positive properties of the spread.

To maintain a normal cholesterol level

Cocolino tastes tart and nutty with a mild coconut note and the fruity taste of sea buckthorn berries. Ideal for breakfast bread. Alpha-linolenic acid (an essential omega-3 fatty acid) helps to maintain normal blood cholesterol levels. Just 15 g of the spread covers an adult's daily requirement of omega-3 fatty acids, which corresponds to 2 g of alpha-linolenic acid.

Cocolino consists of 66 g per 100 g of virgin coconut oil as well as cold-pressed linseed oil (33 g per 100 g) and 1 g per 100 g of virgin sea buckthorn pulp oil. Ensure a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

With valuable organic coconut oil

Coconut oil

The valuable coconut oil is not only of the highest quality in terms of taste, it also has impressive nutritional values: although coconut oil contains many saturated fatty acids, it is a special type of fatty acid. The oil consists largely of medium-chain fatty acids, known as MCTs (medium chain triglycerides), such as lauric acid. This lauric acid, which makes up almost half of the fatty acids in coconut oil, is an important component of breast milk, among other things. Combined with a varied diet, organic coconut oil makes an important contribution to a balanced diet.

Storage

Due to its high content of omega-3 fatty acids, cold-pressed linseed oil is one of the highest quality edible oils in terms of nutritional physiology and is very sensitive to oxidation. It does not normally keep for long and takes on an increasingly bitter taste after just a few weeks. In our Cocolino spread, the linseed oil is embedded in a solid, spreadable vegetable fat (virgin coconut fat) and thus largely protected from oxidation. In this way, the linseed oil remains tasty and retains its positive, nutritional properties over a longer period of time if kept chilled (in the fridge). Cocolino can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 9 months.

The recommended storage temperature for Cocolino is approx. 8 °C (refrigerator). At this temperature, Cocolino is spreadable like butter or margarine. At lower temperatures below 8°C, Cocolino becomes hard and can no longer be spread smoothly on bread.

Usage

Thanks to the mixture of coconut oil, sea buckthorn pulp oil and linseed oil, our Cocolino spread is spreadable when stored in the fridge. It can be used on its own on bread and baguettes or as a butter substitute for jam, cheese and other cold cuts.

Sweet & savory coconut spread
A wonderfully light dish, especially for the warm season!

Cocolino-Aufstrich schmeckt mir besonders gut unter Käse. Bin sehr zufrieden. Mal was anderes an Geschmack.
