Our cold-pressed organic peanut oil is an edible oil with a sweet, mild peanut flavor. Peanut oil has a matt yellow color. When frying with peanut oil, the typical smell of roasted peanuts develops. Peanut oil becomes cloudy at temperatures below 10° C and should therefore not be stored in the refrigerator. The peanuts are not roasted before pressing. Virgin organic peanut oil is therefore milder and less intense than roasted peanut oil. Peanut oil is an ideal oil for hot dishes.
Origin
Originally native to the Andes in South America, the cultivation of the peanut has spread throughout the tropics and subtropics since its growing importance as an oil crop. The peanut is a legume and grows on a bushy plant up to 60 cm high. The flower stalks, also known as fruit stalks, grow downwards after self-pollination of the flower and bore into the ground. The pods with the seeds ripen underground. The seeds are oval, about 5 mm thick and just under 1 cm long.
Peanut oil in the kitchen
The fatty acid composition of virgin peanut oil allows it to be used in warm and even hot kitchens. Peanut oil is therefore an ideal frying oil for Asian dishes and preparation in a wok. The mild taste of cold-pressed peanut oil harmonizes particularly well with vegetable or meat dishes. In addition to frying and steaming, peanut oil is also suitable for preparing dips. Peanut oil contains approx. 22 mg vitamin E per 100 ml.
Peanut oil for skin care
Virgin peanut oil with its mild, non-bitter odor is also very popular as a skin care oil. It can be applied pure to the skin as a rich skin care product or mixed with the daily moisturizer for face and body. Peanut oil has a regulating effect on the skin's moisture balance and supports the skin's ability to retain moisture for a long time.
Usage
Peanut oil is particularly suitable for use in warm and hot kitchens. In Asia, it is often used as a wok oil for steaming, cooking and deep-frying. The typical nutty but mild taste of cold-pressed peanut oil harmonizes particularly well with Asian vegetable or meat dishes.

Our peanuts have come a long way. They are grown organically in the PR China / Shandong province. After harvesting, the fresh kernels are dried in the sun, cleaned, shelled and hand-picked. They start their sea voyage to Europe in ventilated containers. Before they are processed, the batch is tested again for its aflatoxin (mold toxin) content. Only then do they find their way into the hopper of our spindle press. The peanut oil is cold-pressed from the unroasted nuts under very gentle conditions and only filtered.
