A balanced curry blend in virgin coconut oil. Our curry coconut spice oil contains mustard seeds, turmeric, coriander, lovage, cayenne pepper, fenugreek, cumin, pepper, garlic, cinnamon, bay leaf and cardamom.
Did you know that the origin of the curry spice blend is not in India, but in Great Britain? On the Indian subcontinent, the typically spicy, elaborately prepared dishes are known as "curries". During the colonial period, the British began to acquire a taste for them. For the sake of simplicity, they invented the spice mixture called "curry", of which countless variations exist. The spice composition in our coconut spice oil is characterized by the balance of complex Indian aromas that harmonize perfectly with the typical coconut note.
Nutrient-rich coconut oil as a base
Our coconut seasoning oils are made from our virgin organic coconut oil. This is obtained mechanically from fully ripe, organically grown coconuts without the addition of heat, gently bottled and, of course, not bleached, deodorized or refined. It impresses with its fine coconut flavor and a wealth of nutrients.
Coconuts naturally provide protein, carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins and minerals. Coconut oil contains medium-chain fatty acids, known as MCTs (medium chain triglycerides), such as lauric acid, which makes up almost half of the fatty acids in the oil. In combination with a varied, fresh cuisine, organic coconut oil with its lauric acid content makes an important contribution to a balanced diet.
As coconut oil does not contain any essential polyunsaturated fatty acids, a balanced diet should be based on the versatile use of oils. Vital oils in particular, such as our freshly milled linseed oil and our omega DHA oils, provide essential omega-3 fatty acids such as alpha-linolenic acid and docosahexaenoic acid. That's why we offer you a large selection of freshly milled organic cooking oils for oil changes in the kitchen.
Usage
For vegetable, rice, pasta, meat and fish dishes: one of our most versatile seasoning oils that scores highly wherever Indian flair is required. Also very popular in this country for barbecues, for example spare ribs, and with classic currywurst. Also suitable for flash frying.
