Barley grass powder

The barley grass powder from Ölmühle Solling is gently produced from barley grass from controlled organic cultivation. During the production of the light green powder, the utmost attention is paid to gentle processing so that the valuable ingredients are retained. As soon as the young grass has grown to around 10 to 15 centimetres, it is ready for harvesting. At this stage, the plant contains the highest concentration of nutrients and vital substances. After harvesting, it is gently dried at room temperature and then ground.

Barley grass powder is a source of zinc, magnesium and iron. It has a natural, light green color. It is lactose-free, vegan and free from preservatives, colorings and flavorings. It is lovingly bottled by hand. Barley grass powder is used to enrich smoothies and shakes, muesli, yoghurt and fruit juices.

Barley and its nutrient-rich stalk

Like many other cereals, barley belongs to the sweet grass family and is one of the oldest known cereals. The first use of barley can be traced back to 15,000 BC. In many regions, barley in the form of porridge or soup was one of the most important staple foods for thousands of years.

Barley is an annual grass and grows up to 1.2 meters high in no time at all. The seeds sprout just one to two weeks after planting. The seedling, a tender green stalk (barley grass), contains a multitude of valuable antioxidants, minerals, enzymes, bitter substances and bioflavonoids. Early harvesting, a few days after germination, is therefore crucial for the production of a high-quality, nutrient-rich barley grass powder. Our body is dependent on the supply of such essential ingredients. Thanks to their high bioavailability, they can be quickly metabolized by the body when barley grass powder is consumed.

Barley grass powder effect

Barley grass powder is considered a miracle cure with great potential for health, especially in Japan. Among other things, the powder made from the green stalks is said to have a positive effect on the skin, which is not least due to the abundance of minerals. Barley grass powder is also used in detoxification and deacidification cures. The protein content in barley grass of around 30 g per 100 g also makes the powder an ideal supplement for athletes, vegetarians and vegans.

Barley grass in powder form

The advantages of barley grass in powder form are manifold. The powder is 100% natural and free from any additives. Unlike capsules, the effect is immediate. In addition, capsules are often not suitable for a vegan lifestyle as they often contain gelatine. As a powder, barley grass powder is also easy to dose. We recommend taking one heaped teaspoon of organic barley grass powder daily. The powder can be added to water, smoothies or juices, for example. Stirring it into teas or other hot drinks should be avoided, as the ingredients can be destroyed by the heat. Meals with barley grass powder should also always be eaten fresh, as otherwise the active ingredients are slowly broken down and can no longer be absorbed by the body.

You receive our barley grass powder in a practical, resealable bag. Please enjoy Ölmühle Solling products as part of a varied and balanced diet.

Sehr fein vermahlen.
