This composition of freshly cold-pressed rapeseed oil and mildly roasted hazelnut oil, seasoned with a fine bouquet of spices and herbs such as nutmeg, fennel and lemon myrtle, makes vegetables even better: simply drizzle over the cooked vegetables to taste before serving. Our vegetable seasoning oil harmonizes with all tender and light-coloured vegetables such as white and green asparagus, potatoes, kohlrabi, cauliflower, carrots or black salsify. The seasoning oil also adds a special touch to dishes with savoy cabbage or broccoli.
Basis: rapeseed oil and hazelnut oil
Our rapeseed oil is a versatile cooking oil. Its nutty taste makes it ideal for refining salads. Rapeseed oil is also known as colza oil or rapeseed oil.
We produce our organic hazelnut oil from mildly roasted nuts. It has a yellow color and a mild, sweet and nutty taste reminiscent of nougat.
Aromatic combination for fine vegetable dishes
- Nutmeg comes from the nutmeg tree. The aroma is pleasant, woody to sweetish. Nutmeg is also said to have a slightly bitter note. Classic combinations in the kitchen with this spice are mashed potatoes, spinach and light-colored vegetables.
- Fennel belongs to the umbellifer family. It has a very unusual, spicy aroma. Fennel gets its typical aniseed flavor from the essential oil it contains.
- Lemon myrtle belongs to the myrtle family. The delicate leaves are rich in essential oils and are characterized by a lemon note. The gentle aroma harmonizes excellently with vegetable dishes.
Usage
The vegetable seasoning oil is ideal as an aromatic ingredient in soups, mashed potatoes and risotto as well as with cooked vegetables. Just a few drops refine the dish. The seasoning oil goes particularly well with delicate and light-colored vegetables. For example, it enriches asparagus, cauliflower, broccoli, kohlrabi, carrots, potatoes, radishes and salsify with its surprising aroma. Cabbage varieties such as savoy cabbage, pointed cabbage and Brussels sprouts are also given a special touch by the seasoning oil.
